The Riesling wines under Dr. Bürklin-Wolf chancel are known since the distant year of 1597 and are still held by the same family. Their main characteristics are cleanness, elegance and minerality. Made from grapes with botrytis, the quantity is very small. The property, which has about 90 ha in the Pfalz region, has a very diverse soil with limestone, sandstone, basalt and loam.
This Auslese 'R' 1990 is a wine that shows enough
wealth in their golden color and a honeyed lynches aromas. On the palate is fresh
with good acidity and complex flavor of prominent grapes attacked by botrytis. Good
persistence. An interesting wine that I’d liked to taste other ones.
