Esporão Private Selection Garrafeira 2005



14,5%. Made with 60% (Alicante Bouschet) and 40% (Aragonês). Dark, with a very dark ruby colour. Aromas like jam, ripped red fruit, toast, vanilla and pepper. It has a fresh nose as well as spicy. Well balanced. Nice finish.

Kopke Colheita 1979



Clean with a brownish colour, amber. It has dry aromas like dried fruits, shell nut and pine nut. Full bodied and very very persistent.

Calém Colheita 1989



Clean with a brownish colour. Aromas like glue, nuts and orange. Full bodied, oily, silky with good acidity and a very long finish.

Quinta da Falorca Garrafeira 2004



14,5%. Clean with a dark ruby colour slightly brown. Aromas like mature red fruit and cassis. Freshness, acidity and persistence are some of the characteristics. Very nice wine!!!

Villa Bel Air 2007



13%. Another clean wine with tropical aromas and new wood. Wine well balanced with structure and good acidity.

Crios Torrontes 2009



13,5%. Very clean wine almost cristaline. Made with Moscatel grape variety it has aromas like orange and honey. It's very fresh in the mouth, with good acidity and persistance.

Tedeschi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Capitel Monte Olmi 2004



Clean wine with a dark ruby colour with smoked aromas. It has also aromas like smashed red fruit, dried cherries and coffee. It's a very complex wine, structured and with a great finish.

Cicinis Collio 2007



Cristaline wine, almost like water. It has a strange aroma like rotten fruit although it has a moisture with sweet tropical fruits and vanilla. It's very elegant in the mouth and has an excellent acidity. It's a medium structure wine with very nice finish.

Blandy's Bual 1920



Very clean wine with a wood colour, mainly, cherry-tree. Dried fruits, orange peel, iodine, figs, honey, vanilla and curry are its intense aromas. It has higly acidity and very profund finish. One of the best Madeira's ever tasted.

Burmester Colheita 1955



Clean wine with a medium amber colour. It has aromas of iodine, glue, lacquer, nuts and pine-nuts. It's very sweet with high acidity and very persistent finish. Wonderfull wine!!!

António Maria 2006



Made with Alicante Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon this clean wine with a dark ruby colour has aromas like candy, sweets, riped red fruit, green peppers, coffee and resin. With alive tannins, acidity and long finish. A little bit obnoxious.

15%, very clean wine with a light citric colour and strange aromas like whisky, smoke, toast, burnt. Strong palate, alcoholic, fresh and spicy. Medium finish.

Quinta de Carvalhais Colheita Seleccionada 2005



13,5%, clean, citric colour with a dark tonality, tropical and oily aroma, toast, and a light tangerine. Fresh, with structure and acidity but without persistence.

Vinha da Defesa 2008



Clean wine with a greenish colour, floral aroma as well as some passionfruit. It has body, acidity and a finish with some metallic taste.

Zambujeiro 2007



Zambujeiro 2007. Beautifull vision from an Alentejo wine region icon. In a near future will be avaiable to the first people who buy it.

Quinta da Murta Touriga Nacional 2007



13,5%, clean wine with a bordeaux colour and a rose aureola. Dark wine. Very dark indeed. Dried and vegetal aroma. It's still closed. In the mouth the wine is rough and very dry. I'd keep 6 months/ 1 year in the bottle.

Casa de La Ermita Dolce Monastrell 2006



14,5%, clean wine with soft aromas of red fruit, fresh, sweet, with some acidity and a nice finish.

Pico Madama Monastrell/Petit Verdot 2006



Astonishing wine for a small budget!!! 14%, clean and dark wine with aromas like dried figs, black fruit and "after eight" chocolate. Well balanced, fresh, full bodied and with a great finish. One of the best Spanish wines that I've drunk recently.

Casa de La Ermita Reserva 2004



14%, made with Monastrell, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties. It's a dark wine almost black, with aromas like black chocolate, jam and sour cherry liqueur. It has structure, freshness and good acidity. Very nice finish.

Casa de La Ermita Petit Verdot 2005



14%, clean wine with a bordeaux colour. It has a sweet aroma, with fruits like strawberries, raspberries and cherries. We can also notice some vegetal aroma. This wine has structure, freshness, taninns and good acidity. Very nice wine!

Casa de La Ermita Crianza Monastrell 2006 (Biológico)



A completely different wine from the same house. 14%, clean ruby colour with strong aromas. Vanilla, chocolate, dried plums are the ones that I've noticed. It has structure, alive tannins and good acidity. Medium finish.

Casa de La Ermita Monastrell/Syrah 2008



Clean with a clear ruby colour. It's a closed wine that has some red fruit aroma. Has the white wine from the same Bodega this hasn't also any kind of structure.

Casa de La Ermita Viognier 2008




13,5%, clean wine with a very sweet aroma, tropical fruits, small melon, pear. With a great nose. In the mouth almost everything vanish. It has freshness and acidity in a small percentage and it hasn't body or structure. It's a little spicy.
